We'll put time aside to show you around our 'storybook' farm!
As we explore we will explain our Regenerative Agriculture practices and the importance of biodiversity in farming!
We can go over as little or as much of the science behind our farming practices as you want!
Our tours are interactive!
After we show you our cutting edge Fodder system where we grow fresh food year round for our animals, you get to feed it to them!
They love this treat and will come running up to you for it!
You can pet a cow, pat a pigs head, snuggle a chicken, and waddle with the ducks!
Once you book your farm tour date and pay a non-refundable deposit of $40, the time is yours!
Bring as many friends with you as you like!
We will make ourselves available to you and your group and organize the animals and chores to give you the best experience we can!
Once the tour is over, feel free to linger around the animals or go back and check out something from the start!
There's no place more relaxing than the farm so soak it all in!
If you provide the food, drinks, and birthday cake, we'll provide the animals and the farm!
Bring your kids and their friends out for a fun time with the animals and then stay for a picnic around the wishing well!
Once the tour is done, we'll leave you to the party!
Get in touch with us before booking so we can go over the details with you and make your event as care free as possible!
We require a $40 non-refundable deposit per group. This must be paid before your farm tour date. Available payment options are Etransfer or credit card payment. Just click the buttons at the top or bottom of the page to book your tour and you will be redirected to the payment page! There you'll find the option to book your tour date online through our Calendly App!
As we are putting aside our personal time as well as reorganizing our farm chores and animals to make this day happen for you, we request that you respect the time you have booked for your tour.
If you'd like to reschedule due to weather or other, please contact Sarah no less than the day before your booking. Text (807)-620-5916 or email info@blackbarnfarms.ca.
Dress for the weather! Although rubber boots on the farm are the most ideal, comfortable old shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty are okay too! We do our best to keep all areas of the barn clean.... but around here 'sh*t happens' quite literally!
All children must be under the supervision of a parent/guardian. We are in no way responsible for any injuries that may occur during the tour. We have boundaries in place so that this is a safe environment for both you and our animals. Please respect them.
There are no public washrooms on our farm. If members of your group need to use the facilities, we do allow the use of our own washroom in the house. But please be respectful that this is our home that we are opening up to you for your convenience.
Our tours are wheelchair and walker friendly!* We have a gravel driveway but if that hasn't stopped you before then you are able to see all the main sights! (Keep in mind, our home washroom is not wheelchair friendly so it would be best to use the facilities before you come out for your tour!). When booking please let us know that a member of your group uses a wheelchair/walker so we can be extra diligent that all pathways are clear for their use!
There are picnic tables outside if you wish to bring snacks or host a birthday party! There will be no food or drinks provided during your tour; That being said, we wouldn't deny you a glass of water if you need one!
* For some of the summer our cows graze on someone else's pasture which is NOT wheel chair accessible. We understand that the cows are the highlight of our tours! If you use a wheelchair or walker, contact us before booking to ensure they're grazing on our Black Barn Farms' property.

We'll add a little info here and there explaining our totally different style of farming so you get to know how and why our meat is so much healthier for you!
