As animal lovers and self-proclaimed food snobs, we’ve noticed all of that too!
We never felt good about supporting factory farming practices, but aside from drastically reducing or ceasing to eat meat all together, there didn’t seem like a lot of options.
So we took matters into our own hands and started a ‘Regenerative Agriculture’ farming operation, focused on humane treatment of our animals and restoring the health of the environment!
Essentially this means we work with nature to raise healthy, happy animals in the fresh air and wide open spaces.
And since we live where it’s winter for half the year, we’ve added the extra task of growing fresh barley fodder hydroponically in our barn!
This microgreen-like grass is a protein powerhouse, chock full of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and immune boosting properties for our animals so they have the best quality of life on our farm!
